We are students of God’s Word, no matter what our age. God’s Word instructs us for life now and on into eternity. We realize how important it is to study God’s Word so that we may grow in our knowledge of God.

Bible Study 1

MEN'S BIBLE STUDIES

Ted Knutson is leader of the following 2 studies:

  • Wednesdays at the Country Store in Grantsburg, breakfast is at 6am with the Bible Study starting promptly at 6:30am. They are studying the book of Isaiah.
  • Fridays at the Country Store in Grantsburg, breakfast is at breakfast is at 6am with the Bible Study starting promptly at 6:30am. They are studying the book of 1st Corinthians. All men are welcome.

Joe Cook is the leader of this bi-weekly study

  • First and Third Saturdays of each month at 7am at New Hope Lutheran
    Church Fellowship Hall (South Door Entrance Behind the Church). Fellowship and Bible Study  to help navigate today’s real-world challenges. Ecumenical and multi-generational. For young men in High School and older. Come as you are. All are welcome! Bibles/Materials provided.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Children are a vibrant, cherished part of our church community! All children aged 4 years to 6th grade are invited to participate in our Sunday School. Trained Adult Volunteers give a short Bible study and have an activity that is age appropriate. Children are brought back into the Sanctuary for the sermon.

CONFIRMATION INSTRUCTION

Confirmation Instruction is held for students in the 7th and 8th grades. It is held once a week for one hour during the school year. We meet for two years and study the 10 Commandments, the creeds, the Lord’s Prayer and memorize the order of the Books of the Bible and several key Bible verses. The time of the week for instruction is determined by the students’ schedule depending on the school they attend.

CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER MEETING

A congregational prayer meeting is held every Wednesday from 2 to 3 PM. Members and visitors are welcome to a Weekly Prayer Time to attend. We have a prayer sheet in our Sunday bulletin and pray for each person. Names can be added and taken off as prayers are answered. We also pray for our area, our nation and ministries around the world.

BIBLE STUDY

Immediately following our Prayer Meeting we have a time of Bible study. Members can leave or stay depending on their schedule. The Bible study can consist of questions brought to the meeting by those present or a lesson prepared by the Pastor.
